On October 6, 2017, training “Women - Leaders of Changes in Local Communities” took place for the representatives of Lviv and Zakarpattia oblasts. About 30 representatives of these areas have made this event intense, full of lively discussions and friendly advice by their active participation and desire for self-improvement.

The peculiarity of this training was the discovery of a significant specificity of the region and problems that local communities in Lviv and Transcarpathia have to deal with. In particular, during the discussions on the topic of the protection of women's rights, participants emphasized the potential for violating women's rights by immigration authorities, which is crucial for them as the region is borderline; moreover, as part of the practical exercises on the topic of social projects, they highlighted the problem of the lack of children's educational institutions, especially for preschool children, as well as areas for active recreation and physical development for both children and adults.
