On October 27, 2017, training “Women - Leaders of Changes in Local Communities” took place for the representatives of Eastern oblasts of Ukraine (territories of Donets and Luhansk oblasts which are under the control of Ukrainian government) in Kramatorsk city. 28 representatives of 13 local communities of the region actively participated in the event and shared their experience and practice of carrying out social activities in conditions of high psychological and social pressure.

The feature of this event was the presence of a significant number of participants from institutions, services and brigades involved in providing psychological and social assistance to the population. The group paid high level of attention to the issues of domestic violence against women in small administrative-territorial units, the lack of adequate level of access to social and psychological services for the residents of the region, as well as the services of professional development, retraining and, in general, the possibility of obtaining high-quality education, which leads to high level of irretrievable departure of youth from local communities. As a result of a training, participants worked out a general understanding of the development of the social project model: problem statement, goals and tasks formulation.
