On July 27, 2017, a training “Women - Leaders of Changes in Local Communities” took place for the representatives of Kharkiv oblast. More than 30 active, goal-seeking, ambitious, competent and socially-responsible women-representatives of the local communities of the mentioned above oblast and Kharkiv city in particular helped this event to happen by their energetic participation and willingness for self-development

This training showed the high level of involvement of women of the region into the problem solving process by addressing different but equally important issue, such as: integration and re-integration of the returned from the ATO zone soldiers and internally displaced persons, creation of opportunities of self-realization for women aged 40+, developing programs for people with disabilities, combating stereotypes about the members of the Roma community, introduction of the concept of the environmental responsibility and the culture of waste sorting, restoration of the important for the communities social and cultural institutions, combating domestic violence and violence in the society in general, formation of harmonious family relationships etc.
