On September 25, 2017, for the representatives of Odesa oblast took place a training “Women - Leaders of Changes in Local Communities”. 25 goal-seeking women-activists of the local communities of the mentioned above oblast and Odesa city in particular made this event happen by their active participation and desire for self-improvement.

One of the features of the event was participation of several women-representatives of various departments of the National Police System of Ukraine who shared their experience and knowledge on the tools available for the workers and employees of the above-mentioned governmental body in order to protect the rights of women in cases of domestic violence, and explained the challenges with which they have to struggle in the process of fulfillment of their authority. The exchange of experience between civic activists, representatives of local self-governmental bodies and local authorities has become an impetus and a first step towards creation of sustainable cooperation between different stakeholders in addressing the urgent problems of local communities.
