On October 13, 2017, training “Women - Leaders of Changes in Local Communities” took place for the representatives of Rivne and Volyn oblasts. It was attended by almost 35 highly competent and purposeful representatives of the abovementioned administrative units: residents of large regional centers (Rivne and Lutsk) and cities of regional importance, small towns, urban-type towns and villages, which ensured the productive group diversification and effectiveness of the results.

The experience of conducting trainings for women-activists from the western oblasts testified the following trend: the problem of the lack of sufficient opportunities for the development of children of school and pre-school age in rural areas is of extreme importance for the region as it results in children’s poor educational performance as well as the development of bad habits and the tendency to deviant behavior in the future. The peculiarity of this event was the attraction of the attention to the problem of increase in the number of children with cancer of the last stages, which is, in particular, due to the lack of opportunities for early detection of the disease.
